JOB ROLE: HR Officer
LOCATION: Head Quarters - Knockmore Industrial Estate, Lisburn.
WORKING PATTERN: Office-Based | Monday to Friday | 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day. (Can be discussed at Interview stage)
SALARY: £16 per hour | £20,800 per annum (pro-rata) | £31,200 FTE (Can be discussed at interview stage)

We’re now looking for an exceptional HR Officer to join our team and support our people-first approach to business.

THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to work closely with our HR Manager and Chief of Staff to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations. You'll play a vital role in maintaining compliance, supporting managers, and handling sensitive HR matters with professionalism and care.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
     - CIPD Level 3 qualification or Associate Level of the CIPD (or equivalent qualification/experience)
     - Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a HR generalist role within a fast-paced environment
     - At least one year of direct experience chairing, managing, and supporting disciplinary hearings, grievance processes, investigations, absence management, and appeal hearings
     - Experience drafting complex and bespoke HR correspondence and documentation
     - Strong interpersonal and communication skills
     - Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive matters

DESIRABLE CRITERIA
     - CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience
     - Experience working across a multi-functional workforce (e.g., factory, retail, office)
     - Employment law knowledge relating to Northern Ireland
     - Employment law knowledge relating to GB
     - Employment law knowledge relating to ROI


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-EXHAUSTIVE)
     - Managing end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, including job adverts, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding
     - Attending recruitment fairs and external events to promote the company and attract top talent
     - Administering offer letters, contracts, and right-to-work checks
     - Overseeing probationary period reviews and confirmations
     - Providing sound, professional HR advice to managers and staff on a wide range of people-related issues
     - Chairing and supporting formal HR processes, including disciplinary, grievance, investigation, absence, and appeal hearings
     - Advising on employee relations matters, ensuring policies and legal compliance are upheld
     - Handling changes to terms and conditions in line with internal processes
     - Keeping up to date with employment law and HR best practice in NI and GB, and ensuring policy updates are implemented
     - Supporting the protection of young workers in compliance with legal requirements
     - Monitoring and recording staff absences, maternity, paternity, and parental leave
     - Maintaining accurate HR records, job descriptions, and headcount tracking
     - Supporting HR audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement of systems
     - Identifying training needs and coordinating learning opportunities for teams
     - Maintaining CPD and professional membership requirements (e.g. CIPD)
     - Supporting the promotion of a safe, inclusive, and healthy work environment
     - Coordinating offboarding and leaver processes, including exit interviews
     - Assisting with internal communications, engagement initiatives, and HR events
     - Complying with Health & Safety requirements and reporting obligations
     - Undertaking any other reasonable HR tasks required to support the department or wider business needs
